Abstract

(Reversed)

    • Seeing aspects of oneself in another person or in other people, incidentally on on purpose.
    • Deep empathy. Understanding exactly where someone is coming from.
    • Forgiveness, not merely a pardon or a ceasefire as with the Abstract Two of Swords.

The Abstract Two of Cups is abstract Water (affinity, love, enchantment, connection) related to balance and harmony, represented by the number two.

It can signify seeing oneself in another person, perhaps seeing something in another and wishing to actualize that in oneself, or seeing something that creates a pathway to relate to the other person on a deeper level. This can happen unintentionally, or it can be brought about intentionally as a route to self-improvement, relationship improvement, or as a diplomatic aid.

The Abstract Two of Cups could also indicate forgiveness on an emotional level, as opposed to the decision to pardon someone which is represented by the Abstract Two of Swords.
