The Seven of Swords is double-Air elemental in nature, and oftentimes represents dogma, knowledge which survives evidence to the contrary.

The Seven of Swords could also represent organizations which seek to control thoughts and propagate dogma. In other words, it could represent one or more cults.

Beyond cults, it could represent intellectual or emotional simulacra— environments where people submit to the dominant mode of thinking, feeling, or behaving. This happens often, easily, with very mild coercion or even without coercion, creating echo chambers devoid of authenticity or original thoughts.

It could also signify the fact that people are being prevented from asking questions or thinking differently— something which happens just about everywhere to some degree, oftentimes without acknowledgment or associated bad intentions.

• Being into fringe ideas, conspiracy theories, etc.

The Abstract Seven of Swords signifies the feeling of certainty with regard to anything, whether one is certain it will rain or certain that they have aced or failed a test. This feeling can be an ally or a worst enemy.

It sometimes signifies a person's own convictions which they themselves deem unquestionable. Conversely, it could signify the gullibility which can cause someone to buy into others' convictions without due skepticism.

The double Air nature of the Seven of Swords, on an abstract level, could also signify fringe intellectual obsessions, such as chasing conspiracy theories. It could also represent someone immersing herself deeply into studies to the exclusion of the outside world.
