The element Water concerns emotions, affinity, intuition, and mood. It is deep compulsion. It is the power of the mysterious flows and drives of the psyche, and of those storms, springs, and conduits which harness and feed its currents. The realm of Water is the realm of connection and devotion, spirituality and art— the realm where true beauty unfolds.
The Attainment of Water is perhaps the most mysterious of the attainment cards, even though it signifies something which seems simple enough to understand: finding lasting, deep fulfillment— having one's intentions and actions flow from and in accordance with their most enduring and pervasive longings. Having consistent sources of rewarding meaning in one's life, walking in beauty, perhaps finding spiritual meaning or connection with the divine — however one may perceive it — all are possible ways to embody the Attainment of Water.
This could also represent a very close friend, a best friend, or one's significant other, someone who can bring meaning into one's life.
The emergence of Water represents an opportunity to develop the capacity for fulfillment, for the self and possibly for others. It could represent a new opportunity for deep connection, or a the fresh recognition or realization of a long-held desire. As with all Emergent elements, this card most likely represents a proverbial gift from the universe, something new related to the element Water.
In particular, Water Emergent may represent the giving of a gift, or the sharing of an experience which compels deep emotional connection.
Emergent elements correspond with Aces in Waite-Smith and other universal tarot decks. Water Emergent in the Two Worlds Tarot corresponds to the universal Ace of Chalices.
